North Ayrshire Child Protection Committee are hosting a free Internet Safety Event in the Rivergate Mall on Tuesday 11th February 2014.

Aimed at parents and carers the event will offer advice to help them to make the internet a safer place to visit and protect their children and families from online dangers.

A range of demonstrations will focus on how to set security on mobile phones, set parental controls on tablets and ipads and safety settings on a range of apps etc.

Videos from Child Exploitation Online Protection (CEOP) will highlight a range of issues including social networking, cyber bullying and online exploitation.

The event starts at 9am and runs till 3pm.
