North Ayrshire Child Protection Committee works closely with other strategic partnerships.

North Ayrshire Child Protection Committee works closely with other strategic partnerships. These include North Ayrshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership, North Ayrshire Adult Protection Committee and North Ayrshire Violence Against Women Partnership.

From time to time, North Ayrshire Child Protection Committee convenes short life working groups to undertake specific pieces of work.

At present, the following subgroups are live:

1. Vulnerable Children and Young People. In partnership with GIRFEC, North Ayrshire Child Protection Committee is currently revising our guidance for vulnerable children and young people.
2. GOPR. In partnership with North Ayrshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership we are developing local multiagency guidance on working with families affected by problematic alcohol and/or substance misuse.
3. Child Protection in the Community. We are working with community groups and facilities looking at the information about children and families and how this can be best utilised to protect children.
